The different types of wrinkles

Maggie Reyes

Wrinkles appear as the collagen production in our body diminishes, leaving the skin less elastic and firm. Everyone’s skin wrinkles differently and for a variety of reasons. Treatment and prevention are possible but for a good diagnosis and treatment plan, it’s important to know what type of wrinkle you are dealing with.

There are two basic approaches to dealing with wrinkles: clinical and specialist.

Clinical approach

Describes the types of possible wrinkles

1. Particular form:
  • Fine lines
  • Thick lines
2. Certain depth:
  • Surface lines.
  • Deep wrinkles

Specialist approach

Dynamic: Caused by facial movement. Every time we laugh, we cry, we fight, we create patterns in our faces that become expression lines and wrinkles. As we age they become more visible, such as laugh lines.

Gravitational: Gravity works on everything, exerting a force of attraction towards the ground. It works on our skin and as we age, our skin loses strength, elasticity, and firmness. We start to lose the fight against gravity and get wrinkles.

Photo-aging: Prolonged exposure to the sun and ultraviolet rays create wrinkles that are different from those caused by aging.

Mixed: Combined dynamic and gravitational wrinkles create a new type of wrinkle.

How to eliminate

It’s impossible to escape life without wrinkles. However, with the different techniques in nutrition supplements, such as BAMBOUSIL from Nutripur or skin care products like AGE OFF from Nuvocar, wrinkles can be temporarily delayed and disguised.
